funding

The Collections Management Policy Toolkit is funded with generous support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services as part of their National Leadership Grants for Museums. We thank the IMLS for making this project possible, and for their continued commitment to providing federal support for the stewardship of our nation’s cultural heritage.

advisory committee

The Collections Management Policy Toolkit was developed by the Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts in collaboration with an advisory committee of collections care professionals. The Advisory Committee first convened in 2019, working alongside CCAHA staff to brainstorm and design the questions that would form the basis of the CMPToolkit and guide users through the process of writing a Collection Management Policy. Combining the professional and technical expertise of the Advisory Committee with over a decade of observations from CCAHA staff in the field, the CMPToolkit promises to create policies that are comprehensive and applicable for a wide variety of collections and institutions.

The members of CMPToolkit Advisory Committee are:

John E. Simmons

Rebecca Buck
